Policy & Rates

 At Guided Threads Counseling & Recovery Services, we believe therapy should feel transparent from the beginning. Understanding fees, scheduling expectations, and practice policies allows you to focus on what matters most—your healing and growth.

Initial Intake & Assessmen 60 minutes — $225

Individual Therapy 53–60 minutes — $150

Extended Therapy Session 75–90 minutes — $200

Rates may vary based on service type, insurance coverage, or contractual requirements.

Guided Threads Counseling & Recovery Services may accept select insurance plans. Insurance participation varies by state and clinician availability.

Before beginning services, clients are encouraged to verify their behavioral health benefits, including:

• Deductible
• Copayment or coinsurance
• Telehealth coverage
• Authorization requirements
• Out-of-network benefits

Insurance coverage is not a guarantee of payment. Clients are responsible for charges not covered by their insurance plan.

Self-pay services are available for clients who do not have insurance, prefer not to use insurance, or have a plan with which the practice is not contracted.

A Good Faith Estimate of expected charges is available to uninsured and self-pay clients in accordance with applicable federal requirements.

Payment is due at the time services are provided unless other arrangements have been established in advance.

A valid payment method may be required to remain on file for copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, self-pay fees, late cancellations, and other client-responsible balances.

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without notice may be subject to a late cancellation/no-show fee.

Insurance generally does not cover missed appointment fees.

Repeated missed appointments may result in a discussion about whether the current scheduling arrangement continues to meet your treatment needs and may result in discharge from services.

A 10-minute grace period is provided for scheduled appointments.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, the session may need to be shortened or rescheduled depending on the remaining appointment time and clinical appropriateness. Late cancellations may be subject to the cancellation policy.

Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure video platform.

Clients must be physically located in a state where their treating clinician is legally authorized to practice at the time of the appointment.

For privacy and safety, clients should participate from a private location whenever possible. Therapy sessions should not be attended while driving.

Electronic communication, including email and messaging, should primarily be used for scheduling and administrative matters.

Because electronic communication is not continuously monitored, it should not be used for emergencies or urgent mental health concerns.

Guided Threads Counseling & Recovery Services is an outpatient psychotherapy practice and does not provide emergency or 24-hour crisis services.

If you are experiencing an immediate mental health emergency, call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or call/text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Your privacy is important. Information shared during therapy is confidential except when disclosure is required or permitted by law, including certain circumstances involving safety concerns, suspected abuse or neglect, court orders, or other legally mandated situations.

Detailed confidentiality and privacy practices will be reviewed as part of the informed consent process.
